Reiki Classes:  Levels 1-3

Private Reiki Classes:  I am able to do 1-day private classes on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. 2 people must register for a private class-- please recruit a friend or family member who may be interested, and send me a message!

If you'd like to be added to the interest/waiting list for a regular 2-day class, send a message. I am gathering interest for future classes, likely in Fall 2024.

If you have a location where you can accommodate more than 2 students, I can do a larger group class!  Just let me know.

There are 3 levels or degrees of Reiki, which are achieved by successive initiations:

1. First Degree: Shoden (First Teachings, Opening the Channel)

2. 2nd Degree: Okuden (Expanding the Energy, Practitioner Level)

3. 3rd Degree: Shinpiden (Inner Master, Master Level)

First Degree Reiki:  Shoden

"First Teachings," Opening the Channel

​

The first degree opens the energy channel and permits the student to channel Reiki mainly at the physical level, both for himself and for others. It consists of one initiation in the traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho system. After the initiation, the student may note a subtle energy flowing through his hands. This can be perceived in various ways, including heat, coolness, tickling, buzzing, or just a strange feeling in the hands. Sometimes it takes a period of time after the initiation before the student feels the energy.

This level is open to anyone. No previous experience or preparation is required. It is usually taught in one weekend. The initiation connects the student’s energy system to the Universal Energy. Energy blockages are released, balancing and harmonizing the major energy centers known as chakras. The initiation opens the central energy channel leading from the crown of the head to the bottom of the spine. It connects the student to the Universal Energy permanently, allowing him to channel the energy whenever he wishes.​

At first, the amount of energy channeled after the initiation can vary considerably, but the more the student uses Reiki, the more constant the energy becomes. In this level, the majority of the time, the energy is mostly the physical level, with the remainder being on the mental/emotional and spiritual levels.

Each student will receive:

- An attunement to open the student to reiki energy

- 1st degree handbook

- Reiki meditation techniques to build and expand energy

- Instructions of Self-healing, and providing a reiki session for friends/family

- The reiki hand positions

- Ample practice time to give and receive a reiki treatment

- 1st Degree Usui Reiki Practitioner certificate

- All levels of students are welcome to join in a Reiki Share group

First Degree:  $275 -- Instruction, attunement, practice, and certification

($100 non-refundable deposit required at registration)

Second Degree Reiki:  Okuden

Expanding the Energy, Practitioner Level  

The Second Degree requires that the student has completed the First Degree and has had sufficient practice for the energy to be flowing with less variation in intensity. Usually at least three months will have passed since the student took the First Degree. The student should be giving him/herself regular self treatments.

In the second degree Reiki initiation, the central channel is opened up to a greater level, and the amount of energy that can be channeled increases.

The student receives three symbols:

• The Power Symbol. This increases the amount of energy that can be channeled. It enables the student to open and close the energy connection when treating himself or others. It allows the student to use the Universal energy to cleanse and purify places energetically. The power symbol can also be used as a protection around a home, car etc.

• The Mental/Emotional Symbol. This allows the student to enter into a different level of energy, which works on the mental and emotional levels of the person receiving the energy. It is therefore used for mental and emotional healing. It is particularly helpful in dealing with anger, sadness, anxiety, depression and problems with relationships and when sending Reiki to the cause of a condition. It can also be used to help stop unwanted habits such as smoking.

• The Distance Symbol. This allows healing to be sent at a distance. The recipient does not have to be physically present, but could be anywhere in the world. This symbol can also be used to send Reiki into the future. If the student wants to send Reiki to something he plans to do, he simply asks the energy to arrive at a particular time, and it will be ready when that time comes. This also works for the past. Reiki can be sent to specific events in the past, or to the cause of a problem, even if the cause is unknown.

Each student will receive:

- An attunement to 3 reiki symbols

- 2nd degree handbook

- Ample practice time in class:

• Power / Mental/ Emotional  / Distance reiki symbols for healing

• Scanning energy fields with your hands

• Chakra Balancing

• Reiki healing at a distance

• Give & receive a full reiki session in class

- Guidance on starting your own professional reiki practice

- 2nd Degree Usui Reiki Practitioner certificate

2nd Degree:  $275, 1 day Class with Certification

Third Degree Reiki: Shinpiden

Inner Master, Master Teacher

​

The third degree initiation increases the student’s capacity to channel the Universal Energy. The student is also given the Usui Master Symbol, which allows him to work on a spiritual level and helps him to contact his own inner truth. This level is called Inner Master because it involves recognizing that each person is the master of his own destiny, responsible for his own life. This knowledge can often help the student to find his true path in life and may require him to make changes in his life.

​In this level the central energy channel is once again further opened, and the student is given the two additional  Symbols.

​

Each student will receive:  

- An attunement to two additional reiki symbols, including the Master Symbol

- 3rd degree handbook

- Ample practice time in class:

• Healing with the master symbol

- Additional master level reiki skills / techniques

- 3rd Degree Usui Reiki Practitioner certificate

3rd Degree:  $325, 1 day class Intensive with Certification

• Option to add Reiki Teacher & Attunement Training to end of class, if you've already had Reiki Master Training with another teacher, see below

Reiki Master Part 2:  Becoming a Reiki Master Teacher:

Not everyone desires to pass attunements and teach reiki.  Most students take Reiki Level 3 for personal & spiritual growth and to deepen healing abilities for self and others.  For those who wish to pass attunements and teach Reiki, I offer Reiki Master Level 3, part 2.  After this class, the Reiki Master may now take on the responsibility of attuning students and teaching Reiki to others. He/she has the ability to initiate others so that they can use the Reiki energy in their own journey of self-discovery and healing.

I ask that any student interested in Part 2 (teaching) have:

• At least 6 months experience with Reiki Level 3 and the master symbol. 

• Please keep records of your sessions provided to others

• A Reiki Level 1 manual that you will provide for your students  (either written by your, or received with permission from another Reiki Master / author)

3rd Degree, Part 2:  $75, 1-2 hour class

• If you've already had a Reiki Master Attunement with another teacher and would like to repeat the Reiki 3 Shinpiden class, you can add Part 2 to a Reiki 3 class with me ($325 + $75 = $400 total).

Deposits are refundable until 2 weeks before the class.  After deposit is paid, the remainder of the fee is due before the first day of class.​
